David Van Ness currently serves as Vice President in the Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) Client Services group, focusing on managing client relationships and ESOP transactions.

Mr. Van Ness joined GreatBanc Trust Company in 2021.  Prior to joining GreatBanc Trust, Mr. Van Ness served as Vice President for Horizon Trust & Investment Management ESOP Services.  He has more than 30 years of experience in the ESOP and retirement plan industry, serving clients and participating in numerous ESOP transactions.

Education

Mr. Van Ness earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Indiana State University.  He passed the CPA Exam in 1992.  Mr. Van Ness is a member of the ESOP Association Administrative Committee and also serves in an advisory role for the Indiana Chapter of the ESOP Association
